Even princes need to rest and relax and Prince Harry was no exception when he visited Jamaica during his first official Royal Tour. After racing the world’s fastest man and taking to the dance floor in Kingston, Prince Harry took some time out from his hectic schedule to enjoy a private retreat at Half Moon, A RockResort in Montego Bay.
(TRAVPR.COM) UK - March 13th, 2012 - The Prince relaxed in a five bedroom staffed Royal Villa with a private pool and a white sand beach. The villa staff of a butler, housekeeper and cook ensured that the Prince lacked for nothing.
Personal cook, Denise Graham, prepared all of Prince Harry’s meals during his stay including traditional Jamaican fare of jerked smoked chicken breast and Ackee and Saltfish with green bananas and steamed Callaloo,
Denise Graham said, “Meeting Prince Harry was the experience of lifetime. He was fun to be around, and he seemed to enjoy his time here. He was very complimentary to myself and the rest of the villa staff and told me he would love to come back to Half Moon.”
The Royal Family’s association with the luxury resort dates back to 1966 with a visit from Prince Charles. In 1994 and 2002, the Queen and Prince Philip visited Half Moon and 2008 Prince Charles returned with the Duchess of Cornwall. Princess Anne and Princess Margaret have also numbered among Half Moon’s illustrious guests.
Half Moon’s general manager, Aram Zerunian said, “We were extremely pleased that Prince Harry chose Half Moon for a brief personal retreat during his official tour of Jamaica. The honour of hosting Prince Harry affirms Half Moon’s appeal as an authentic Jamaican resort and highlights our status as an international destination of choice, with a rich history and legacy.”
