Folk singer-songwriter Seth Lakeman is set to perform songs from his latest album in York on February 24th.

(TRAVPR.COM) UK - January 19th, 2012 - Acclaimed folk musician Seth Lakeman will play live at Fibbers in York next month.

The English singer and multi-instrumentalist, whose latest solo album Tales from the Barrel House was released in November 2011, is due to perform at the venue on Friday February 24th.

Forming part of Lakeman's spring 2012 UK tour, the York show will gave fans a chance to hear the artist's new material and popular tracks from his large back catalogue.

Tales from the Barrel House, which was recorded in rural Devon, saw Lakeman write each song and play every instrument, as well as mixing and producing the album himself.

It was made available as a limited edition release on the songwriter's own label Honour Oak Records.

"With this record I feel free. I've not had A&R men looking over my shoulder or record bosses influencing me in any way," he explained on his official website.

Tickets for the York gig are available online, priced at £18 plus booking fee. Doors will open at 19:30 GMT.
