The London Mozart Players and pianist Alba Ventura will perform at the Hall for Cornwall next month.

(TRAVPR.COM) UK - January 18th, 2012 - The Hall for Cornwall is set to offer a treat for fans of classical music on Thursday February 16th, when the London Mozart Players are due to perform.

Piano soloist Alba Ventura will appear alongside the chamber orchestra for a recital that will include popular works by Handel, Rossini, Haydn and of course Mozart.

There will also be a rendition of Barber's Adagio for Strings, which has famously graced soundtracks for films such as the Oscar-winning war movie Platoon by Oliver Stone.

Born in Barcelona, Ventura made her debut as a concert soloist at the age of 13 and has performed at many of Europe's most prestigious music venues. The musician has previously played alongside the Halle and Philharmonia orchestras in the UK and the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra.

Tickets for the concert in Truro, which is due to begin at 20:00 GMT, are priced between £20 and £24.
