The Marseille round of the ATP tennis tour, Open 13, takes place from 20th to 26th February 2012. This is the 20th year that the event has been held and it is one of the more important rounds of the ATP circuit, with total prize money of €576,000 divided between the winners.

The official ATP list for 2012 includes players from around the world competing in Marseille. Professional tennis players arrive from many countries, ranging from the USA to Argentina, while there are also a number of domestic players involved.

Tickets should be booked in advance, as this important event fills up quickly. There are four types of tickets available; ‘Prestige’ gives access to priority parking as well as the Agora hospitality village, which includes a number of restaurants; this is effectively the VIP option. ‘Prem’ tickets provide assigned seats close to the action, in the lower rows close to the court. ‘Category One’ tickets also have designated seating, but further back, while Category Two tickets are unassigned.

Ticket prices vary, depending on the day and the match being played, but range from €52 to €25 for adults and €28 to €12 for under 18s. For anyone wishing to attend all the matches throughout the week, there are packages that work out less expensive, €180 for adults or €90 for children and students. Unsold tickets will be available from ticket booths on the day, though they will be more costly.

Early booking of Marseille Hotels is advisable, given the high number of spectators expected.
