The Dominican Republic Incoming Tourism Operators Association (OPETUR) recently published the fourth edition of the “Excursions Guide 2011-2012.” The guide is co-sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism.

Available in English, Spanish, French and German, the guide offers updated information on the Dominican Republic and tourism-related activities, such as: diving, local agricultural crops (tobacco, cocoa, coffee), local carnivals, shopping, ecotourism, museums, national parks and sports (baseball and golf).

The guide clearly identifies the companies involved in each particular sector that may be of interest to the international tourist.

OPETUR brings together various companies involved in the tourism industry. It also includes 29 of the Dominican Republic’s best tour operations (www.opetur.net).
