TWO EXCITING NEW FEATURES LIVE ON 3D TRAVEL WEBSITES
Industry: Technology

3D Travel has launched two exciting new features on its 3D websites: Content on Demand and What's Nearby.

(TRAVPR.COM) U.S.A. - December 13th, 2011 - 3D Travel has launched two exciting new features on its Google Earth-based 3D websites: Content on Demand and What's Nearby.

Content on Demand
allows users to explore locations without resorting to search. Drag the 3D landscape across the screen. Once you've stopped for a second, placemarks for locations within the 3D window will start to appear: Hiking trails, beaches, activities, popular towns, surf breaks, top resorts. The feature is controlled by the user: At the bottom of the search rail is an option to enable Content on Demand. Want fewer placemarks and do traditional search? Check it off. Want listings to appear with a drag-and-release of your mouse? Keep it checked on. It allows a more intuitive use of the 3D screen: Just place any part of the Hawaiian Islands in the viewer, and discover what's below.

What's Nearby
is accessed from a tab on every location site bar (next to Photos and Videos). It launches a new window allowing users to search locations around the island that belong to our categories database (hiking trails, golf courses, surf breaks, etc.), or to free-text search the location of their choice, within range of the location they're visiting, in increments from a half-mile to 20 miles. Both features are live on 3DHawaii, 3DLasVegas and our Private Label websites, including Hilton Hawaiian Village, Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel and four others.

The company has built a world-class team with offices in California and Hawaii.

'Powered By' 3D Private Label Portals

3D Travel, Inc.'s "Powered By" 3D technology platform provides clients with the ability to create websites for users to explore, discover and book travel within virtual, 3D destinations. 3D Travel's Private Label, which uses the Google Earth API plug-in to create a 3D virtual world, is the next generation travel planning and booking tool, combining one-of-a-kind content with spatial context — a stunning visual experience unrivaled on the web today.
