New Year’s Eve events at Waterville Valley’s Resort in New Hampshire’s White Mountains include the Fireworks lighting up Corcoran’s Pond at 7:30 p.m., and a 45-minute Horse-Drawn Sleigh Ride departing from the Town Square. Later in the day from 11 a.m. to Noon and then again from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., join Curious George Cottage to hear your favorite Rey stories read out loud. Following story time make Curious George and other seasonal crafts that children can take home.
After listening to the adventurous stories of Curious George visitors can explore the former summer home of Margret and Hans Rey – the authors of the story. For information please call (603) 236-3308.
Waterville Valley's Indoor Ice Arena offers daily public skating sessions and skate rentals, while the I Dream of Beading shop on 35 Village Road will have specialists on hand until 4 p.m. to help visitors create something beautiful to wear throughout the evening’s festivities.
Ring in the New Year with the Waterville Valley recreation Department Staff and the New Year’s Extravaganza. We will have a fun, active night playing gym games, creating kid friendly crafts, piñatas, dancing, food, and the New Year’s Eve Count Down! (pre-registration with payment required). At Diamond Edge North Restaurant the celebration continues with live music by Lenny Emery through the height of the excitement from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. Reservations are required for the restaurant’s special New Year’s dinner menu, and can be made by calling (603) 236-2006. More music and dancing can also be found at Legends Sports Pub, where a DJ will be hosting from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
The resort will continue to celebrate New Year’s through the end of the month with a Kids Ski Free weekend ski package. The deal includes a two-adult, two-night lodging, two adult lift tickets for Saturday and Sunday, valet Parking on Sunday and half off on rentals.
