ANGUILLA: 5 MONEY-SAVING PLANS TO ENCOURAGE SUN-LOVERS TO BOOK EARLY AND GET THE BEST DEALS
Industry: Travel Offers

“We’ve come up with five special winter packages to encourage our guests to get a head start on their planning,” say Sue and Robin Ricketts, owners of Anacaona Boutique Hotel, Anguilla’s much-acclaimed cultural oasis of affordable chic.

(TRAVPR.COM) USA - December 9th, 2011 - "Our regular winter rates are already good value -- less than $300 a night for two (which is exceptional on a celebrity-studded island like Anguilla) but with these special plans guests can reduce their room rates to less than $200 a night.

"Here's a quick summary of these outstanding 2012 offers (note: beer and wine are not included in any of these offers; additional nights will be charged at the regular room rate):

AMOROUS ANACAONA": 7 nights, $2,950/two
This popular package offers a standard room for two, with continental breakfasts daily, local tax and service charge; 3 dinners for two in Anacaona's Firefly Restaurant (including an Antillean buffet with Mayoumba folkloric group), bubbly or rum on arrival, a one-hour massage for each guest; daytrip for two to Sandy Island (setting for a romantic episode of ABC's The Bachelor) -- plus guests get to plant a "love tree" in the hotel garden, complete with a plaque sporting their names.    Available January 2 through April 8.

NEW!  "DINE AROUND" Package: 7 nights, $3,100 for two
This is a brand new plan designed by the owners because they want their guests to sample some of the other outstanding dining opportunities on the island, with dinner-for-two served at four outstanding restaurants (Blanchard's, Straw Hat, Oliver's and DaVida) plus three evenings at Firefly, including the Thursday Antillean buffet and folkloric show, Mayoumba.  Also included with your 7 nights in a standard room are the local tax, service charge, continental breakfasts daily and welcome rum beverage. Available January 2 through April 8.

"ANACAONA GETAWAY 2012": 4 nights, $1,520 for twoDesigned for those days when you're up to here with winter gloom and you must have warm sands and sun, this breakaway package offers 4 nights in a standard room, with local tax and service charge, continental breakfasts daily, two dinners for two in Firefly (including one of Anacaona's popular cultural evenings of folkloric music and dance), welcome rum on arrival and bottle of wine in your fridge.  Available January 2 through April 8.

"JANUARY IN SUNNY ANGUILLA 2012": Pay 6, Stay 7
Spend six nights in any one of Anacaona's 27 rooms and suites and you get the 7th night on the house.  Available January 2 through February 4, 2012.

"MARCH MADNESS" 2012: Pay 6, Stay 7
Stay six nights in a standard room and the 7th night is on the house.  That's a $1,750 value but you pay only $1,500, making your $250 room just $180 a night for two.  In winter!  That $250 in savings will pay for a couple of candlelight dinners at Firefly and a rental car for a tour of Anguilla's legendary beaches (although one of the best beaches is right there at the end of Anacaona's garden path).  Available March 1 through April 8, 2012.

Overview:
Anacaona Boutique Hotel on Anguilla is a small, value-oriented hideaway a few paces from one of Anguilla's most ravishing beaches. It has 27 air-conditioned rooms and suites, two swimming pools, a boutique, a massage center, free Wi-Fi and Internet, garden-poolside restaurant and bar, drinks and lunch service on the beach and room rates that start at just $150 double most of the year.  Anacaona (pronounced the way it looks, by the way, an-nah-ky-oh-nah) is owned and operated by legendary hoteliers Robin and Sue Ricketts who have been creating, managing and marketing other people's hotels throughout the Caribbean for more than 30 years, including near-neighbors Malliouhana Hotel and Cap Juluca, two of the most famous and luxurious in the Caribbean.

What makes Anacaona the fun place to be on Anguilla is its unofficial role as the cultural entertainment center of the island, presenting local music and dancing, dinner theater and other diversions to let you know what the island is all about.
