JADE MOUNTAIN, St. Lucia announces its annual chocolate festival, December 9-12, 2011. It is a delicious, interactive and exotic introduction to the world’s favorite aphrodisiac - chocolate.

(TRAVPR.COM) USA - November 15th, 2011 - Cacao has a history in St Lucia that dates back to the 1700's. Our Cacao trees, over 1000 strong, are established in both Anse Mamin Plantation and in Emerald Estate. We have been harvesting and producing cacao beans for generations. Now you can be one of the first to taste our premier vintage of our Jade Mountain Estate Grown chocolate.

The event starts on December 9 with a "Chocolat-tini" party.  Jade Mountain's well known Consulting Chef, Allen Susser will share his talents and passion for chocolate. Take pleasure in a complimentary chocolate martini. Taste local, seasonal chocolate inspired savory finger foods.  Following dinner, you can choose from our exotic chocolate desserts including a lush Double Dark Chocolate Fondue that must be shared to enjoy its true aphrodisiac pleasures. 

Saturday, December 10, take a walking tour through the Cocoa Plantation and Organic Gardens .  Here the Cacao tree bears its leaves, flowers, and fruit simultaneously throughout the year. The Cacao pods are shaped like large oval melons, saffron yellow or red in color and a wonderful sight to enjoy. Learn about the alchemy of chocolate from pod to truffle in a unique workshop led by Chef Allen. We will continue with a refreshing picnic lunch on the porch of the farm house on Nick Troubetzkoy's Emerald Estate. 

Dinner this evening is all chocolate...a surprising, specially prepared five-course dinner with a seasonal and sustainable menu using chocolate in each course. This creative dinner, with chocolate as inspiration, spice, flavor and texture, will change your mind about chocolate forever.... The dinner can be accompanied with a pairing from Jade Mountain's wine cellar to match each course.

Sunday, December 11 starts with a very luxurious "Chocolate" Breakfast in Bed. You will want to savor this experience with the one you love in the privacy of your sanctuary. You choose the time (from sunrise on)... we will handle the rest.For those who cannot get enough may try the chocolate spa treatment...Luxury at its Sweetest, a treat to experience on your body.  The cocoa bean, which grows here in Soufriere, has long been touted for breaking down harmful free-radicals and now Jade Mountain has taken the cocoa treatments to new exotic heights! 

Revitalize your skin with anti-oxidant properties while indulging your sense for sweetness with this delightful chocolate experience.  Decadently warm, then cooling chocolate is applies in layers, stimulating endorphins in the body and adding minerals to the skin to awaken your senses and bringing them into pure harmony.  The chocolate caresses your skin while you relax, leaving you looking fresh and feeling revitalized.  (Optional inclusion: 1 hour $150 U.S.)
